What Should the Top 5 Office Design Concepts Be Like?
What is an office design concept?
An office design concept is the plan that ties room order, furniture and material language to one decision; brand display and team tempo share the same volume. A concept is not a paint colour or a single armchair; it is the shared answer to who sits where, who sees whom and where sound stops.
Office design concepts have to carry the scene a visitor reads at the first step and the desk a person sits at for hours. If the reception looks generous and the work row behind it is cramped, the display lasts a minute. The reverse is the same: the team is comfortable, the guest is lost in the hall. The concept holds both faces in one file.
Umut GÜRLER İç Mimarlık reads the work rhythm first on office jobs: who arrives, who stays, which talk needs a closed room, which task can run on an open row. A plaza floor, a technopark office and an administrative building in Ankara are taken in that order. Numbers are not invented; the square metres, column spacing and service voids measured on survey go into the plan. The concept sits on that measure.
The 1071 Plaza Office shows that bind. On the 100 sqm floor in Çukurambar (2024), the executive desk, the guest seating corner and the glass façade sit in one room. The desk is an L; a seating group sits behind it and a sideboard beside it. The concept is not a “luxury office” label: meeting, writing and the view share one axis. A plant stands by the window; a small green with a written care note does not turn the room into a nature theme.
If the material catalogue opens before a concept is chosen, decisions scatter. Wood panels, marble, glass and fabric can sit together when each surface does a job. Glass does not have to open every wall. A closed room is for privacy. The shared area is where the team pauses. When those three mix, the concept cannot be read; separate tastes sit side by side in each room.
The rest of this article opens the five headings teams ask about as criteria, not as a ranking. They do not all fit every floor at once. Work rhythm is written first, room order second, appearance last.
What should the top 5 office design concepts be?
The five headings teams compare most often are ergonomic furniture, wellness and rest areas, biophilic surfaces, glass partitions and measured accessories. They do not all fit every floor at once; priority follows the work rhythm and the room order. The table below sets what each heading solves and where it breaks.
| Concept | What it solves | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|
| Ergonomic furniture | Long sitting, posture, hidden cabling | When comfort is cut for a look |
| Wellness and rest | A short pause, a kitchen, a closed talk | When the break is standing in a corridor |
| Biophilic surface | Scale, daylight, a calm ground | Pots with no care note and stuck-on green |
| Glass doors and walls | Visual openness, a clear team read | When every wall is glass, privacy and sound leak |
| Measured accessories | A few pieces that carry the brand | When desk and wall fill with objects |
Ergonomic modern office furniture starts from the fact that the day is spent at a desk, a chair and a short meeting. Adjustable sitting, the right desk height and cabling that disappears are the spine of this heading. Looks come after those three hold. The executive desk at 1071 Plaza shows that order: the writing surface is wide, the guest chair is close; cable and screen do not scatter.
Wellness areas are a short stop in a heavy tempo. If a rest room, a small kitchen and a shared area find a place on the same plan, the team can split the day. The meeting room belongs on this list. When every talk happens on the open row, both noise and privacy suffer. A small floor may not open a separate “wellness room”; then the pause is a kitchen niche and one closed meeting room.
A biophilic surface is not a nature theme glued on with plants, wood and stone. It is used to balance scale, acoustics and daylight. A promise of a direct nature experience is overstated. The pot at the glass façade in 1071 Plaza does not turn the room into a forest; it softens the window void. A pot with no care note does the opposite.
Glass doors and walls open the volume to the eye. The same glass strains meeting privacy and the sound boundary. The fix is not to turn every wall to glass; it is to write which plane stays clear and which stays closed on the function diagram. Accessories give the office a character; too many fill the desk. A few chosen pieces — one large work, the right light, one surface that carries the brand — read better than more objects. Seen as office design ideas, these five headings are survey marks, not a contest list.

Which concept fits which office?
A concept is chosen by square metres and by the type of work; the same five headings do not sit with the same weight on every floor. On a small plaza office furniture and glass come forward; on a larger law floor the glass cut is written first. The three recorded jobs below make that difference concrete.
The 1071 Plaza Office is 100 sqm. Desk, seating corner and glass façade share one volume in the executive room. Ergonomics and a measured green are solved without opening a separate rest floor. The guest chair is close to the desk; there is no second room for the meeting. The concept is a furniture order that carries the work without inflating the room.
The law office design in Paragon Tower, Çukurambar, is 400 sqm (2025). The waiting area holds tan leather sofas, a book-matched marble wall and a ring pendant. Next to it a black-framed glass partition splits off a work room; the desk inside is visible to the person on the sofa, while the talk stays behind the glass. On this floor glass is a privacy line, not a shop window. Sound and meeting rooms are opened in the law office privacy and acoustics article.
Cubes Ankara - Eb Ofis is also in Çukurambar and is 58 sqm (2024). A small floor cannot open a separate room for each of the five headings. The reception corner, a wood-slat partition and the desks behind it share one volume. The concept here is not “one of each”: it is drawing the line between greeting and production with a thin partition, fitting the furniture and keeping accessories few. On a tight floor the order changes; the detail is in how small office designs should be.
A plaza floor, a technopark and an administrative building ask for the same five headings in a different order. A software team looks for shared desks and focus booths. A factory admin building puts circulation and durable surfaces first. That is why an ergonomic office layout is not copied from a mood board; until the type of work is written on the survey, an idea will not stick to the room.
A small executive office in Ümitköy and a 400 sqm law floor in Çukurambar do not carry the same glass ratio. One wants the view in the room; the other hides the meeting behind glass. The concept comes from the room’s job, not from the district name. District differences sit in the Çukurambar, Söğütözü and Ümitköy office article.
What should you look at when choosing an office design concept?
When a concept is chosen, work rhythm is written first, room order second and appearance last; if that order is reversed the paint catalogue fills and the plan stays empty. Until the survey answers who arrives, who stays and which talk needs a closed room, none of the five headings is marked because it is in fashion.
The second thing to look at is the real measure of the floor. Columns, service shafts and wet rooms crush a concept. 58 sqm and 400 sqm cannot carry the same glass-wall dream. On a small floor glass is one or two verticals that open the hall. On a large floor glass is a room-by-room boundary. If that difference is not written, walls move on the site day.
The third thing to look at is the items that grow cost. A custom reception desk, a full glass partition, stone cladding and a separate air system carry the budget as well as the look. There is no figure in this article; how those items swell sits in what office design cost depends on. If the concept is picked as a “top list”, the survey is skipped; a skipped survey produces a strip-out on site.
The fourth thing to look at is the building management. In a plaza or business centre, working hours, the lift and the goods entrance can delay a concept. Work that does not change the structure or the outside may sit outside a building permit under Article 21/3 of the Zoning Law; that does not mean no permission or fee is ever needed. Glass walls and the wet-room order are not locked until the house rule is written.
The fifth thing to look at is material with a written care note. Plants, wood and fabric put in as a “natural look” without that note wear in the first year. Accessories are the same: one large work holds; many small frames scatter. A concept is not the object count; it is the piece that does not break the room’s job.

The plan that ties room order, furniture and material language to one decision. Brand display and team tempo share the same volume.
What are the top 5 office design concepts?
Ergonomic furniture, wellness and rest, biophilic surfaces, glass partitions and measured accessories. They do not all fit every floor at once.
Is a glass wall used in every office?
No. Glass opens the volume to the eye; if every wall is glass, privacy and sound leak. Which plane stays clear is written on the function plan.
Can a small office take all five concepts?
Not as separate rooms. On a 58 sqm floor, greeting and production are split by a thin partition; accessories stay few.
What is the first thing to look at when choosing a concept?
The work rhythm. Who arrives, who stays, which talk needs a closed room. Appearance and the material catalogue come after that.
