How Does the Design Process Move?

As in any office job, research comes first. It should be as concrete as you can make it: who works, who visits, which room stays quiet. Accessory choice is a second step; the first is the room layout. Then drawing. Sketches and layouts are not locked without the client. What follows is delivery; it is not left vague as “art”, it is written into the survey note.

How Do You Tell the Right Interior Architect?

Anyone who furnished a flat after a short online course can claim the work. A decorator and an interior architect are not the same thing, and not everyone can offer interior architecture. When you walk the office, ask: is there a written survey note, are drawings and site with one team, are there office references? A housing album alone is not enough for an office job.

What Is the Difference?

Interior architecture holds psychology, ergonomics, building knowledge, budget and a design eye together, and works through structural and non-structural change in the room. Services, partitions, light and surfaces sit inside that field. The aim is a room you can use, matched to the rhythm of the work.

Decoration does not enter the building layer. It sets room layout and surface harmony through colour, texture, pattern and scale. Decoration trends are spoken on that layer. An interior-architecture office often needs both — but the spine (services, partitions, climate) comes before the finish.

What Does the Office Itself Show?

A home or an office is where the daily rhythm is held. A well-set interior-architecture office shows its own survey–drawing–site order to a visitor: desk scale, a sample wall, a meeting niche.
