What are the factors to be considered in the design of an executive room?

What to watch in an executive room changes with the room you want. A construction-firm room and a CEO room do not share one detail list. Each room is written to its own work; interior-architecture support is holding that difference on the plan.

The first job is to make clear what is expected of the room. If expectation turns into picking a suite from a catalogue without talking to the designer, the room is stripped later. Budget, style and the range of materials are written at the start. There is no figure in this article; scope is set at survey.

The Order of a Working Design

In an office and an executive room the order starts with survey and measure. On a plan that has not been through that hand, detail is invented later; that produces labour and strip-out.

Colour, furniture and accessories are chosen for the room. If a classic stance is wanted, desk and palette are written to it; a plain modern room will not carry the same carved suite. Room size is the third measure. Large furniture in a narrow office breaks walking lines and door swings.

As Umut GÜRLER Interior Architecture - Ankara Interior Architecture we run an executive room in this order: brief, plan, room layout, then construction.

Colour and Lighting

Beside furniture that fits the measure, light and colour are written too. Colour and light affect mood; there is still no rule here that one colour “raises output”. The real job is that the room stays open, screens do not wash out and faces stay readable.

A controlled palette keeps the room open. Light should cover the desk and the meeting surface evenly; a spot that tires the eye breaks the working rhythm. Those details are set at survey against the room and the façade.

How should the executive room be designed? puts the wider frame next to this article.
