Moment Beştepe Office: Ankara's Remarkable Project

Moment Yapı set Moment Beştepe Office as a newer office programme in Beştepe that tries to bring a house-like mood to work. The project is named for its neighbours: the Presidential Complex, ministries and official–commercial buildings. Among Ankara office projects it is often mentioned, and it was introduced around shared rooms for people. This article summarises Moment Beştepe design decisions — especially how the architect read the plot.

What is in the project?

Two 15-storey blocks hold 330 offices and 22 commercial units. Units run about 83–198 square metres. The shared programme for Moment Beştepe Office describes a rest room, a yoga room and cafés on Mola Street; workshop and meeting rooms sit under the same roof.

Shared work and social rooms aim to keep tea, coffee and a connection inside the building during a meeting. The view depends on floor and façade; it is not honest to promise the same frame in every unit.

What does the project architect say about Moment Beştepe?

Architect Gökhan Aksoy says: “For me, architecture is the structural language of dreams, ideas and decisions.” He describes taking the main criteria for Moment Beştepe — two plots between AOÇ and the city — from the land itself. The site sits in the centre on one side and offers a forest view on the other. To use a view that is uncommon in Ankara’s fabric, almost all units face the view; service rooms face the city. At ground level a commercial pedestrian axis runs across both plots and serves the building and its immediate edge.

Where do I get interior architecture for the project?
