Executive Office Design Examples
An executive office is the room of the most senior person on the floor. Office design has many constraints; formality and elegance are among them. The room is still a workplace, so productivity belongs on the same list. If the room does not support work, output falls.

Take the Size of the Room Seriously
Whether it is called a manager's office or a patron's room, the space should look considered. Every such room is still a workplace. Size is not the same from one office to the next, so the plan for a manager's office has to start from the actual floor area.
If the room is large enough, an L-shaped desk works well. Senior staff keep a heavy schedule, so the desk should be large enough to raise output. An L desk is functional and ergonomic and can serve more than one task at once.
Leave Room for Guests
Guests are the next constraint in a manager's room. Managers receive many visitors, so the office needs a place to host them. Two chairs facing the desk, or a pair of comfortable seats, are enough in a smaller room. If the floor area allows it, a sofa set can be used.

Use Colour to Keep the Room Formal
Colour should lean toward formality. In a large room, dark tones underline that official character and give the space a more composed air.
In a small patron's office, lighter colours work better. Cream, beige or white make even a tight room feel more open. Colour should never be an afterthought in a manager's office.
Objects matter as well. If the executive office is wide enough, a fireplace can add formality. Functional pieces should still be placed as if they belong in the composition: a large bookcase archives documents and looks considered at the same time.
In short, the list is long: taste, budget and the requested decoration all count. Taking them together produces a stronger design.
