Decoration Advice for a Classic Villa
Classic villa decoration opens a beauty that can stay in use. Good furniture and bright accessories give a room that does not date. If that register is yours, this note is for you. We took classic decoration advice from Umut Gürler İç Mimarlık, a studio often chosen for Ankara villa projects.
Steps Toward the Classic Villa You Have in Mind
- Wood furniture raises the classic line. A vitrine, a console or a TV unit, plus built-in cupboards and bookcases, give the room a richer air.
- Antiques are fixtures of the style. Gilded or carved accessories and well-made wood objects underline it.
- A buttoned cloth on the coffee table, or a piece made that way, keeps the room classic without looking copied.
- Rich fabrics are the other constant. Pair them with stripes, flowers or a needlework texture so the room stays timeless and still current.
- On sofas and curtains choose silk, satin, gobelin or velvet. On furniture, burgundy, dark cherry, gold or autumn colours sit well.
- Accessories carry a large share: gilded mirrors, oil paintings, silver, glass vases, vintage sculpture and posters.
- Light wall colours keep the house open. In a classic home they also help the look you want. Wallpaper left the room for paint and has come back with force.
