A classic line is common in law offices; a modern, spare or luxury palette is also possible. The decision starts with the firm's character, then with the floor area and headcount. A Chesterfield seat comes to mind with a law office; it is common not only for its weight, but because it can take a long sit. Whatever the style, seat height, back support and waiting time are planned for client and staff. Comfort is the unseen part of the workspace.
Keep the Fit Measured, Whatever the Style
Corporate seriousness asks for measure, independent of style. A modern law office is not built like a campus with a slide; clients are not there for that scene. Too many accessories and a loud palette also scatter the file. A measured palette sits closer to legal practice.
Build Privacy In
Most talks between lawyer and client carry private information. An open plan splits the floor cheaply, but it is not always right for this work.
