The YDA Center office project in Çukurambar drew attention quickly. It set out from the line that a building becomes a source of pride when the architecture is modern and distinct; location and massing did the rest for many buyers. YDA Center in short

The complex has three main parts: an urban plaza, a high office volume and a park. An urban void ties them together; covered parking sits to the south, with landscape and dining above.

The building stands on Eskişehir Road, near the links to Konya Road, Anadolu Boulevard and Sakıp Sabancı Boulevard. It sits above the Metro and Ankaray Söğütözü station. Walking distance to ministries, the chamber of commerce, hotels and shopping centres is the advantage most buyers name. It is presented as a business-and-living centre with a direct metro link.

The project is also described with accessibility measures in the brief. On 27,500 square metres there are 567 offices, from 57 to 8,000 square metres. That range leaves room for a small-team plan or a full-floor desk layout.

Which design awards does YDA Center cite?

YDA Center’s own communications list the “Best Office Architecture” category at the European Property Awards, a Premium Project mention in the office category at the Sign of the City Awards, and a finalist place in “Office-Future” at the World Architecture Festival. Those are the project’s notices. What makes an office work is not the award list; it is whether the work area and desk layout hold through the week. That is the test.
