Interior architect prices began to be researched with the preference of architectural services. Renovation and decoration companies do not have sufficient technical knowledge and experience. Therefore, there is a need for comfort and values that interior designers will add to spaces. Employers also benefit from interior architecture services in their own companies and private properties. People who want to get support for interior design do research on prices beforehand. Therefore, they want to avoid unforeseen costs. In fact, interior architecture prices are not as high as expected. Because interior architects can negotiate a more affordable price with the contractors they work with regularly than people would agree on. Thus, design and application monitoring fees are also added to them. Criteria such as the quality, experience and expenses of the companies asking for the price are taken into consideration.

Interior Architects' Agreement Forms and Price Ranges

Interior architects or interior architecture companies determine 3 different types of agreements after meeting with the customer. These types of agreements are as follows;

1- Turnkey Renovation

In turnkey renovation agreements, the interior architect prepares a general price study for the project, application parts and finishing works for the customer's home or workplace. Afterwards, a detailed to-do list is presented to the customer by the interior designer. Thus, the list is determined after detailed discussion and measurement with the customer. The list must include all measurement, quantity and material details covering the job. It must also be included in the contract.

The quote prepared by the interior architect is prepared based on his own experiences and market price information. In other words, it is possible to have the job done cheaper or more expensive than the offered price. To put it briefly, if a turnkey renovation agreement is to be made, a free survey should be requested from interior architecture firms. Thus, it is possible to explain your requests in detail.

2- Profit over Cost

All agreements and payments for the work designed by the interior architect are made by him/her. In other words, it is possible to say that the interior architect is responsible for the entire project planning and implementation follow-up. In addition, the interior designer must control the quality of the work done and report this to his employer. However, the masters who carry out the application or the contractor company are not responsible for any problems, material or moral damages that may be caused.

In profit agreements made based on cost, a rate is determined according to the work to be done. Let's assume that the total expenses amount to 100,000 TL, and you make a profit agreement of 15% on the cost. In this case, the fee that the interior designer will request from you will be 100,000 x 15% = 15,000 TL. In other words, interior designer prices are shaped within the framework of the agreement.

3- Interior Architecture Project and Consultancy

In interior architecture project and consultancy agreements, the customer wishes to receive interior architecture project and consultancy services from the interior designer only for the house. Therefore, the customer requests a price for this. The interior architect prepares all the projects required for the interior within the scope of the agreement. It also provides consultancy services to its customers.

Preparation of survey drawings, preparation of concept and preliminary projects, drawing of layout plans, preparation of 3D visuals, drawing of application and manufacturing projects, and making revisions when necessary are among the services that the interior architect must provide. Afterwards, the interior designer prepares all the projects and delivers them to his employer. To put it briefly, project and consultancy service prices for a 50 square meter workplace can start from 7000 TL, and project and consultancy service prices for a 50 square meter house can start from 5000 TL.
