Living Room Decoration: The Crucial Point of Villas
The living room is where the family gathers and guests are received; most of the house’s memory sits here. That is why it is a careful point in villa interior design. As Umut GÜRLER Interior Architecture - Ankara Interior Architecture, experienced on Ankara villa projects, we write living-room decoration tips in the order of focus, measure and detail.
Set a Focal Point
The first job in living-room decoration is a focus. Share the way you live with the interior architect: does a television carry the day, or a quiet bookcase? Once users and use are clear, the focus is easy to set. Furniture choice and room layout come next. Comfort before style: a sofa no one sits on will break the room even in the right language.

Watch Furniture Size
In living-room decoration a piece should not sit too large or too small for the room. A measured layout plan in villa interior design cuts that slip. There are proportions to hold between sofa and table. If you are assembling pieces that were not sold as a set, write those proportions first; otherwise the path narrows or the seating island drowns in the middle of the room.
Stay with the Detail
A living room with taste is cut back, not filled. Extra furniture and accessories crowd the volume. Curtain and upholstery cloth should refer to each other; a curtain that carries the sofa colour is enough. When paint, cloth and accessories share a colour, the work is in the tone. Last: pictures, cushions and lighting. Lighting is an accessory too; when it sits in measure with the language and the palette, the room holds.
If You Are Still Deciding
You do not have to lock this sequence alone. As Umut GÜRLER Interior Architecture - Ankara Interior Architecture we run living-room work from survey to handover through room layout and comfort. This article does not claim a “most preferred” rank; the test is references and a plan that holds. For villa decoration see villa decoration examples and interior-designer advice for villas.
