In a good interior architecture firm, design thinking should be developed, form-space relations should be readable, and the line should stay clear of cliché. Those are criteria to look for, not a ranking claim. The interior architect also needs a set of skills.

Moving the design forward means keeping colour and material knowledge fresh. Agendas and tastes change; the office has to follow them so it does not stamp the same pattern on every new job.

One skill the interior architect needs is clear talk with the client. A coherent drawing, a focus on detail and the ability to move between details also matter. Project management shows up when those moves happen on time.
