In this 90 m² clinic in Beytepe, the opening timeline was planned at the same time as the license application.

Why is the clinic opening timeline planned backward?

When an opening date is targeted, the time needed for each stage, such as license approval, construction time and equipment installation, is calculated backward from that date; planning forward means a delay in the license, for example, pushes the opening date back as well.

Clinic opening timeline is therefore built starting from the target date and working backward, not forward.

Which stages happen in order from license to opening?

The table below shows a general sequence.

Order of stages in a clinic opening
StageContent
1. Lease and facility type decisionPrivate practice, polyclinic or medical center is clarified
2. Design and room planRoom dimensions compliant with physical conditions are drawn
3. License applicationThe file is submitted to the Provincial Health Directorate
4. Execution and infrastructureConstruction, infrastructure and unit installation are done
5. Technical inspectionPhysical conditions are inspected on site
6. License approval and openingThe opening date is set after approval

This sequence is a general approach; durations vary by facility type and the province's workload.

How does the design stage affect the timeline?

The license application cannot be made before the room plan and treatment room layout are clarified; this is why the design stage is the most critical link in the timeline. If the design is clarified late, all remaining stages shift as well.

This process also affects clinic design cost; a plan clarified early makes both the timeline and the budget more predictable.

Can the opening date be guaranteed?

No; license approval depends on the Provincial Health Directorate's schedule and an exact duration cannot be guaranteed. However, completing the design and execution stages early and fully reduces the risk of delay.
